Citizen's Police Academy

The Ballwin Police Department, Manchester Police Department, and Ellisville Police Department are accepting applications for this years first ever joint Citizen’s Police Academy. Due to current social distancing procedures we do not have a start date, but are gathering a list of those interested, so when it is safe to do so the academy can begin without delay.  The Citizen's Police Academy is designed to provide those interested with an insight into the operations and philosophy of your police departments. The academy will run for 8-10 weeks meeting one time per week in the evening hours (exact dates, times, and locations will be released prior to the start of the program).

Participants in the Citizen’s Police Academy will receive instruction on patrol techniques, traffic enforcement, accident investigation, crime scene processing, police communications, and a variety of other related topics. The academy is designed to provide interested citizens with a better view on how their police department operates and the role of police work within the criminal justice system.
